My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Orange, a zestful 6-year-old Min Pin/Chihuahua mix who's been flourishing in his foster home for the past 6 months. This pocket-sized powerhouse has come a long way in learning to enjoy human company and coexisting delightfully with his foster fur family.

Do you like action and fun? Orange is your guy! He's a bundle of energy, always up for chasing lizards or gazing at birds as they fly by. He's not just energetic; he's also goofy and playful, adding a ray of sunshine to every room he enters.

One of Orange's strong suits is that he's crate trained and thrives on routine; he's quite the clever pup! However, he's still polishing his potty-training skills, so a patient owner willing to guide him through this would be ideal. If you're up for embracing all of Orange's quirks and joys, he promises a lifetime of laughter, love, and lively play.

He also gets along well with larger dogs, making him a versatile fit for various types of homes. If you're looking to add a dash of excitement and a sprinkle of joy to your life, Orange is the one for you.

Ready to meet this vibrant pup? Please fill out an application, and his dedicated foster family will get back to you. Come meet Orange and let this little ball of sunshine brighten up your life!

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
