Hey, I'm Shipsey!

Check me out, I'm an absolute sweetheart!

I'm 1.5 years old, a female with a unique mix of collie, pitty, and hound. I've got the sweetest personality and I just LOVE my toys and sunbathing in the yard!

Here's the scoop on me:

Super sweet and affectionate-major snuggler alert!

Already potty and crate-trained, so I've got those basics down.

Good with dogs, but I'd do best in a home with older kids.

I've got moderate energy, so I like to play but also know how to chill.

A yard is a must for me because I love to stretch my legs and enjoy the outdoors!

Eager to please-so I'm always ready to learn and make my humans proud!

I'm currently living with a foster and loving life, but I keep hearing that I deserve a forever family of my own. I've got these beautiful white socks on my front paws and a lovely white chest that makes me stand out from the crowd.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Fill out an adoption form found on the animal's profile at www.straypawsrescue.com

2.
Interview

Once the application is reviewed, it is sent to the foster and they will reach out to you in 1-3 days.

3.
Meet the Pet

The foster will set up a time and place for you to meet the pet. We will also need to meet your resident pets if you have them.

4.
Home Check

We will do a home visit to ensure the foster animal goes to the right home. We will call your landlord if you rent.

5.
Approve Application

We call all 3 references. If you have a resident pet, we will call their vet to confirm they are up to date on vaccinations & altered.

Additional adoption info

All adoption fees are payable the day the contract is finalized.
Please note our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 6 months and younger - $325.00
Young adults 7 months-6 years - $300.00
Adults-Seniors: 7 years+ - $200.00
Cats and kittens - $150.00
Pair of kittens - $275.00

PLEASE NOTE OUR ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
By submitting this application there is no guarantee that we will place a dog or cat with you.
We only adopt to families within 50 miles of St. Louis, MO.

We do not have a shelter. We are foster based only.
All adoptions require a completed application

We are a 501c3 licensed non profit organization in St Louis, Missouri. We are foster based and have a passion for helping the animals who have been dumped and abandoned in St Louis city. We also work hard to help save those in high kill shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized. We believe in that all pets deserve a second chance and that there is a home for everyone.
