My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hope started our Paws-in-Prison program and learned her foundation obedience. However, prison life wasn't for her. Just a little busy for her comfort. She is a slightly shy girl but warms up extremely fast. She absolutely loves human attention and snuggles once she is comfortable with you. She is crate and house trained, knows her basic obedience and is waiting for her family!!!

Hope is a working dog and does best when given a job to please her person. She prides herself on keeping her foster siblings in check and knowing where all of her kitty friends are.

Understanding the Chow traits and genetics is a must to adopt! Chows are absolutely wonderful dogs, very faithful and love their owners but they are NOT a breed for everyone. Please research or have prior Chow experience. Chows tend to be a "one person dog and if you're that person you'll have the best possible companion!

Be sure to visit our Facebook page for additional pictures and information on our rescues!

More about this rescue

Developing highly adoptable dogs through our positive reinforcement rehabilitation training program.

This program is designed to save, rehabilitate, train, and rehome dogs that have been abandoned, abused, neglected, placed on death row, or misunderstood.

We give dogs a second chance to have a happy life!

Our Founder & President
" I was born to be a voice for the voiceless! This is deep rooted in my soul. From an incredibly young age, I have been their voice and continue to be heard"

Our founder and president, Judy Troyer, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She not only trains obedience but also focuses her advanced training on understanding aggression & rehabilitation protocols. She uses positive reinforcement techniques, for our rescues training and rehabilitation. With her knowledge and training style, many dogs have been given a second chance to live a healthy happy life.

Judy is a big advocate for clear communication, pain free and force free training techniques and is the voice for so many misunderstood dogs!

Our Team
We are animal loving volunteers who spend our lives dedicated to our rescues. We work very hard to help with the rescue's training and help them become highly adoptable & happy dogs! We believe every dog deserves a second chance to be understood and to learn how to live appropriately in the human world. We are consistent with our training techniques and have seen amazing transformations in dog behaviors. We go above and beyond for those that can't speak for the themselves.

Joining our team, you will learn many amazing training techniques, understand dog body language and be making a huge difference in the life of a rescue!
