For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Cobalt (born 8/3/23) was adopted as a kitten and returned due to no fault of her own. She is not a fan of change, and is slow to warm up, so she will need a very patient family to show her that she is safe.
Once she feels safe, Cobalt is a happy, goofy little girl! She loves her catnip banana, but is not a fan of feathers, especially if on a kitty teaser. Cobalt’s favorite thing is to burrow into a nice, warm pile of blankets. She will make herself a kitty cave to snooze in. She would be a great companion for the upcoming cold months to snuggle in the blankets on the couch while watching a movie!
While she is very sweet, she can also have a fiercely independent side as well. So if you are looking for a kitty that is not clingy all the time, she is your girl. She was a solo kitty, but has shown interest in getting to know her foster mom's resident cats, so she should be fine with a friendly feline companion, with proper introduction of course!
Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com.
‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.
Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

More about this rescue
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce feral cat population in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens for adoption into loving forever homes. We are a VDACS registered 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014 with over 60 foster homes.
Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.
We are always seeking fosters, volunteers, transporters, and trappers to join our team!
We also appreciate donations! Find our most needed items
