This girl... where do we even start? Athena is one of those dogs who completely steals your heart the moment you meet her. She’s been through more than any dog should ever have to, spending her first four years chained up outside in Eastern Washington, braving the harsh weather with no shelter. But despite everything, her heart is nothing but pure, sweet marshmallow.

Beanie found love and comfort when she was adopted into a wonderful home on Vashon Island, and for the first time, she knew what it felt like to be cherished. But when her person passed away, Beanie came to us at Haven. It’s been nearly a year now, and we just can’t understand how this big, snuggly girl hasn’t found her forever family yet.

And truly …she isn’t just any dog—we’re talking about a once-in-a-lifetime companion and soul dog you’ll still talk about years from now. She’s the one who sneaks into bed at night and somehow ends up spooning you like she’s always belonged there. Beanie loves with her whole heart and soul, and while she needs to be your one and only pet, she’ll fill your life in ways you never thought possible.

We love her with everything we have, and we know someone out there is waiting for her magic too. Could it be you?
