Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I am Gus (previously known as Harry). I know - I don't look as lab-like as some of the other dogs on this site but I promise, I'm really a good boy. I have a blind and deaf chihuahua as a roommate and I am super gentle with him and always try to make him feel safe. He knows I am always around to give him a hug or cuddle. I really like to cuddle (or lean) on my people too. I should go to a home without little kids because sometimes I get so excited and I forget my size!
Balls and toys that squeak? LOVE THEM. I can be a bit of a drama queen and will speak to you if I can't get a toy under the couch, or if my foster roommate is hogging a toy I want or if I need to go outside. I am completely house-trained and I am crate trained (I never talk back when I am told to go in my crate). I am a good boy on a leash (warning: I want to catch a squirrel from time to time) and I ride GREAT in the car.
Until today, I never met a cat before. I was a little afraid of it - I even tried talking to him and he said nothing back! I am a little curious about this new creature I met today but I know it isn't a toy and I don't have a mean bone in my body. I wouldn't mind living in a house with one of those things as long as it is a cat who is dog-savvy and he/she/it won't hurt me!!

More about this rescue
A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.
ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
