Update 8/24: Tough Tiffany has really come a long way with us this past year and she’s really ready to move on with her life and find a permanent home.
This young poodle mix came to us a snarling terrified disgusting matted mess caked in feces and wouldn’t let clippers anywhere near her and wanted nothing to do with us. Now that she trusts us we are able to groom her without too much of a tantrum and has turned into a funny playful clingy girl. She still has her moments and needs her space at times, and doesn’t want to be smothered with constant hugs and kisses and wants to be left alone when eating or chewing on a bone. She’s an athletic fun playful pup who does zoomies around the yard with her doggie friends every day, loves car rides and will throw herself in any car, and is a silly complicated girl who loves to make you laugh.

Young Tiffany was brought to a local pound severely matted by someone who “found” her. The sedated shave down was the easy part and she’s in good shape physically and we think only about 2 years old, maybe less. Behaviorally, she was all flashing teeth and dramatic kicking and screaming about being picked up or handled or touched for a while, but now has turned into a funny playful girl who always looks like she’s laughing. She’s getting better about letting us groom her though still puts up a bit of a fight for her feet being shaved especially. She’s fine with other dogs as long as she’s fed separately and needs someone that understands weird moody touchy quirky little white dogs that will give her space and let her decide when she’s ready to engage. We request that adopters fill out a pre-adoption application either in person at our adoption day or through our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com. This helps us make sure the animal's personality is a good match for your household. Adoption fees vary according to the dog's age, breed, adoptability, and how much we have had to spend in vet bill on them. Adopters sign a contract at the time of adoption, and the animal must come back to us if they do not work out in the home.
