Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

CHANCE
If Interested in Adopting Chance Please Read his Adoption Bio Below and then go to our Website www.k-9services.net
Chance Located Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Chance is approximately 1 year old, Black and Red, Male German Shepherd.
NO RENTAL HOMES
Fenced in Yard Required
Rescue and Health:
Chance is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, he is microchipped. Chance was Rescued as a stray dog with an embedded collar he is now in recovery and healing up from that massive injury.
Behavior:
Chance needs a quiet and patient home, he has issues from being tied up and is now learning what it is like to be in a home. He is good with other dogs, cats unknown. Because of his fear issues children would be too much, he also does not like to be left alone for long periods of time.
Note from Chance's Foster Mom:
Chance is a puppy that is a sweet, goofy boy, once he becomes comfortable with you and your family. Strangers still make him feel very shy, but he does enjoy observing when he sits in his crate, and learning that people can be loving and warm with him.
Therefore, Chance will need a safe place or crate near the action so he can retreat if he becomes overwhelmed. Chance still needs reassurance so you may have to let him follow you into the yard without watching him. Chance will need someone with patience and understanding - giving him time to acclimate to you and your routine. Before long he’ll be your little shadow and interested in everything you do!
It took my family just a few days to get him to begin to trust us, another reason to keep his safe place available. Chance loves his toys and squeaky, spiky ball but he’s not much for playing fetch, probably because he was never taught how. He may not want you to watch him play until he’s sure that he’s not doing something wrong. He also likes to “bury”his favorite treats and toys in blankets and couch cushions. He would love to play with another energetic pup! Once he’s comfortable, he does a fantastic job walking on a loose leash with a harness.
