My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our longest longtimer, Finley! We pulled Finley from a small shelter in southern MO over 3 years ago. And he's been patiently waiting for his forever home since then. He's had zero interest!

Fin is a 4 year old border collie mix with a lot of border collie energy! He's dog friendly with a proper introduction, but would also be okay as an only pet. He loves walks and playing fetch. Finley is potty and kennel trained and knows basic commands. He is super smart, and loves to show off just how smart he is!

Due to his energy, he will do best in a home without small children. He does have food allergies, and requires medication to keep them at bay.

Fin is our longest foster resident! This sweet boy has been waiting since 2021 to find his forever family. Help us find Finley a family to finally call his own!

More about this rescue

Our mission at ARF is to protect and advocate for animals in need; to build a humane community that promotes compassion and seeks to strengthen the human animal bond. We believe that no animal should endure the pain and suffering of a life of abandonment and neglect. We believe that through education, spaying and neutering, community outreach, and owner retention programs we can limit the overpopulation of animals and decrease the number of shelter animals in need. As human stewards of this Earth, we at ARF work to support and preserve precious life and strive to create a humane living environment for all animals.
