Hi! My name is Penelope or Penny and I am an absolute sweetheart! I love people and love and attention. I was returned to Caws with my brother Felix through no fault of our own. All this change has me feeling a little scared but I warm up pretty quickly especially if you scratch my tailbone which I absolutely love. I also adore kitty treats, mousse sticks, wet food, and my brother Felix. I hope to have lots of those and love in my new home. I promise my brother and I are great kitties who are calm and loving and we would love a forever home together for the holidays. Is there room in your home and heart for us? We sure hope so. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
