My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Katie, a resident of our rescue who's as mellow as a spring day. Katie is not just sweet, she's also incredibly smart. She loves toys, and exploring her surroundings. Her intelligence is matched by her amiable nature, making her the perfect companion for any home. Adopting Katie means bringing home a friend who's sure to fill your days with warmth, love, and intrigue. Give Katie a chance, and she'll be your loyal companion, offering comfort, companionship, and a whole lot of fun. Katie is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative and is available for an in-person or virtual meet and greet after an adoption application is submitted.

More about this shelter

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
