My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Trixie, a charming adult feline with a spirit as bright as a sunny day. She's a friendly soul who loves to explore her surroundings with a curious gaze, always eager to discover new things. Her mellow demeanor makes her a perfect companion for quiet evenings, offering a soothing presence that can turn any place into a sanctuary of peace. However, Trixie prefers to be the queen of her castle, as she isn't too fond of other cats. She was rescued during Hurricane Harvey. A survivor, Trixie has a truly inspiring resilience. Her ability to adapt and thrive is a testament to her strong character. Adopt Trixie, and let her fill your life with joy, curiosity, and a unique companionship that only she can offer.

More about this shelter

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
