My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET TRISH & BETTINA
Trish and Bettina are sweet and gentle sisters. They were given up by their previous guardian, who could no longer care for them, and now they are with us, ready to find their forever home. While they may be shy at first, once they feel comfortable, they blossom into incredibly loving, snuggling, affectionate companions. These calm and well-behaved cats love their cozy naps and lazy afternoons, but they’re just as enthusiastic about playtime. The girls LOVE chasing lasers, pouncing on toys, or watching Cat TV. They enjoy both relaxing and staying active, making them a wonderful addition to any home.

TRISH!
Trish's love for food quickly wins her over! A true foodie at heart, she purrs enthusiastically during mealtime and has a particular fondness for Churros. Once she recognizes you as the magical provider of meals, Trish becomes a loyal, affectionate companion who adores chin scratches and being by your side. If you’re looking for a sweet, food-loving cuddle buddy, Trish might just be your perfect match!

BETTINA!
Bettina is a curious, affectionate, and playful cat who adores attention. She’s highly motivated by your affection and gentle petting—head and chin scratches quickly turn into belly rubs if you’re lucky! Her intelligence and adventurous spirit make her an expert explorer, whether she’s climbing her favorite cat tree, gazing out the window, solving cat puzzles, or investigating new corners of her environment. Bettina is a skilled hunter when it comes to playtime, especially with her small toy mice, which she loves to pounce on. If you’re looking for a clever, loving cat who’s always up for cuddles and games, Bettina is the perfect fit! Bettins is less food-motivated than Trish, but still enjoys slow feeder puzzles and can even solve advanced ones with ease.

TOGETHER, Trish and Bettina will bring love, companionship, and a delightful mix of calm and playfulness to your home.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
