Violet is a very friendly girl who is craves human love and attention, and her tiny little voice makes everyone who hears it melt and smile! She is fun, playful and affectionate. She prefers to be the only cat in the house, but she did well with an 8 month old male cat in a foster home once! She does not get along with other females, unless it's a human! Violet used to live in a truck with someone, who would let her outside during the day. While outside Violet was attacked by an off-leash dog and her jaw was broken. Her guardian relinquished ownership of her at an emergency hospital knowing she could not provide medical care or a safe life for her. Violet came to us and received surgery to correct her broken jaw, and some of her teeth were removed to make her jaw align better, and the result is a very cute expression that makes her even more adorable! Violet is so affectionate and sweet and is a joy to be around! While Violet does well as an only cat, she does require someone who is home a lot with lots of love to give.
From her foster:
Violet is playful, affectionate, and has a sweet personality that is sure to win your heart. She enjoys cuddling up with her human companions, especially when it comes to cozying up on the bed for a good night's sleep. We believe that this loving cat would make a wonderful addition to any family, and she is eagerly waiting for the chance to find her forever home.

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.
We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue
Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:
-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.
Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
