Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rags!
This happy little bundle of energy could be your new best friend! He's an 8 lb shitzu mix, approximately 1 year old, and very much still a puppy. He loves everyone and everything and thinks everyone should love him!
As with most little dogs, he has a big attitude (playfully). His energy level and relentless playfulness might not be good for an older dog sibling. He's cat-friendly (maybe too friendly), but does understand when they tell him to leave them alone. If he's bored, he'll find something to play with, so it's best to have toys nearby. Mostly, he just wants to be with you and to have your attention.
Rags came to us as a stray, so he does need some training. He understands "no" and comes when called. If there's a treat involved, he's more likely to stand up to get it, rather than sit. He's crate trained and will sleep quietly, especially if he can see you're near. He has the basics for potty training. He'll go when taken outside (after a little running around first), but has had some accidents as well. There are indicators that he may have been trained to use a pad.
Rags needs a loving home with a fenced in yard. He would benefit from having a home with another energetic dog to play with. His forever home should be with a person or family who's almost always there to play with him and give him the love and attention he deserves.
Rags is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to visit him will be set up for approved adopters only. His adoption fee is $300 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. He is neutered and microchipped. He is also up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives as well as Heartworm negative. LOCAL ADOPTERS ONLY. We do not adopt out of state.
