My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kimba – the independent spirit you didn’t know you needed! Kimba isn’t a lap cat, but she’s the perfect low-maintenance roommate. She’s happy to coexist peacefully in your home, soaking up care and love from a distance. Kimba currently lives with three other cats and does well with them, but she prefers to avoid dogs and kids.

Kimba embodies the true essence of an independent spirit cat. She values her personal space and enjoys doing her own thing, whether that’s lounging in a sunny spot or quietly observing the household from afar. Independent cats like Kimba often form deep bonds with their humans in their own time and on their own terms. While she’s not one for cuddles or human touch, Kimba will show her affection in subtle ways—like following you from room to room or watching over you as you go about your day.

If you appreciate a cat with a gentle presence who respects personal boundaries, Kimba is your girl. All she asks for is a safe, loving space where she can just be—no pressure, no expectations, just quiet companionship.

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
