Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MIA – an 8-9 year old female pocket pitty grey and white – Mia is super sweet and would do well in home that has medium activity level. Upon examination it was discovered that Mia has Laryngeal Paralysis (Lar-Par for short) In layman’s terms, it is a condition where the muscles of the larynx are weak and don’t close properly. So over exercise can cause her to breath heavy and cough, swimming is not recommended as she could asphyxiate as her throat does not close properly. The use of a harness instead of a collar is a must. The vet says she has probably had this condition for a long time and it is not a severe case and a happy long life is ahead of her. She is a happy energetic sweet girl.
