Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**DAKOTA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Dakota, our delightful little darling, is searching for a forever home, and she would love to meet you! Pal's Place rescued Dakota from an overburdened animal control facility in Kentucky. We do not know much about her past, but she is estimated to be just about a year old and weighs 35 pounds, an excellent medium size for almost any environment. Her breed mix is unknown, and without a DNA test, we cannot know for sure, but her appearance suggests Mountain Cur and Boxer in her lineage. She is most likely a mix of many breeds combined to create a purebred, 100% Good Girl.
Dakota is just as sweet as her adorable face suggests, and she'll make an outstanding companion for one lucky home. She's an easy-going, adaptable, and social girl, and we think she'll fit in readily in most homes. She is a young dog with moderate exercise needs who loves to run and play but is also content just hanging out in the company of her favorite people. Dakota doesn't appear to know any commands or tricks or to have had any formal training in the past, but she is well-behaved, eager-to-please and incredibly curious, attentive, and smart, so training her the basics should be a breeze! She is quiet in the home, crate-trained, and housebroken when kept on a regular schedule. Dakota is sharing her foster home with several other dogs and gets along well with all her housemates. She is ready to go home today and is anxious to meet you! Dakota is in a foster home on Chicago's northwest side and can be visited by appointment only after an adoption application has been completed and approved. Her adoption fee to the rescue is $375. This fee helps to cover her spay, initial vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an adoption application unless you are ready to meet and welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. For more information or to receive an application, email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org. Adoption applications and correspondence from the rescue may end up in your spam or junk folder. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly and if it has been 48 hours without a reply, please follow up with an email to ensure your application was received.
• Dakota's adoption fee is $375. This fee helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare her for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on adoption fees and donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other dogs like Dakota from euthanasia.
• Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application, and please put the dog's name in the subject line. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder; sometimes, the applications end up in there! We are a volunteer-run organization and do our best to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 hours.
• All of our dogs are in foster homes are can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an approved application has been received. To receive more info, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com. Email is the preferred method of contact and is the quickest way to receive a response. Unfortunately, we cannot hold our adoptable dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an application until you are prepared to adopt.
