My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Roxie - this gorgeous and intelligent lady was adopted out as a puppy but never properly socialized with people or animals. She is looking for an Adult Only home with No Other Animals so that the focus and dedication can be on her because of her reactivity. Due to this she will need multiple meet and greets with her potential adopters as it is going to take her time to trust. Once she does know you, she is happy to share her playful, silly, and fun-loving side. Roxie needs someone who is experienced with reactive dogs as she isn’t a fan of the Vet/medical procedures, people she doesn’t know invading her space, and strangers touching her. She will need continued muzzle training as it is necessary for her when going for vet visits or outings. Roxie has been doing fantastically away from the chaos of the shelter, she loves her hikes and outings with her favorite long-time volunteer, going in the car, using her brain to outsmart an interactive toy/puzzle, and using her powerful nose to sniff/explore (but especially to find hidden snacks left in her bed or kennel).
If you have questions, please give us a call at (508) 867-5525 *Roxie`s adoption has been paid for by a generous donor*
