My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bandit, a small mixed breed pup weighing in at around 12 pounds. This adorable little guy has had a tough start to life, making him cautious and fearful, but he's full of potential and waiting for the right family to help him come out of his shell. Bandit sports a unique and charming mohawk of extra fur that adds to his irresistible cuteness.

Bandit is potty trained and crate trained, happily going into his kennel when asked. While he needs more training with walking on a leash, he's willing to learn and improve. He does great with other dogs of all sizes and would thrive in a home with another dog to help build his confidence.

Bandit would do best in a home with older children over the age of 13 who can be respectful of his space and boundaries. He's never been around cats, so we're unsure how he'd do with them, but he's shown he's not aggressive, just cautious. Bandit needs a patient and understanding household that can offer him a quiet environment, with a fenced yard to keep him safe if he gets spooked.

Despite his fears, Bandit loves to play hard and crazy with other dogs, enjoying toys and chewing on bones. He's a careful, shy, and timid boy who takes his time to trust, but when he does, it's worth the wait. Bandit tries hard to be close to his foster parents, letting them pet him on his terms. Speaking to him in a calm, kind voice helps him learn to trust you.

This sweet pup has recently started asking to be pet and loves munching on ice and popcorn. Bandit tends to favor women but can warm up to men with time and alot of understanding. He'll need a home with a small or medium-sized dog, a fenced yard, and older, respectful children. A quiet, patient, and understanding household with few visitors would be best for him. If you have the love and patience to help Bandit come out of his shell, apply now and give this sweet, timid pup the forever home he deserves.
