My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tac is an amazing dog that is going to make the right adopter VERY happy. She was born on 6/17/23 and she is a Pit Bull mixed breed. She is very sweet but shy around new people. She LOVES to play and cuddle with her foster siblings. Her ideal forever home would not have men and would definitely have another dog. She is extremely smart and knows several commands. She is great on a leash and really enjoys exploring outside. She is working on her potty training and has been doing great (her foster mom is a rockstar!). She is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed.

Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull/Shepherd dog or puppy. While we understand that this may be an inconvenience, it is necessary to help reduce the number of devastated dogs being returned. We apologize for the inconvenience.

HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING:
1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.
2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord.
3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets.

Helpful reminders:
*We do not do same day adoptions.
*Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in.
*We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
