Just a bud waiting to bloom!
Hi fellas! My name is Diogenes, and Dio for short! I am a 3 year old, neutered male Siberian Husky mix, weighing about 55 lbs. I came from a bad hoarding situation in Mississippi and boy, am I glad that TAP rescued me! They have the best fosters and I am at the bestest one where I am learning to overcome my anxieties and have gained so much confidence. I have come a long way since I have been with my foster mama! I am fully bathroom and crate trained, and greatly improved my leash walking skills and get excited when I see my walking harness and leash come out.
I came from a troubled situation and have made great strides with a TLC. I have dog foster siblings and have done really well with them since they are so calm. For my continued confidence building, calm mellow dogs would be ideal, but also have shown to be the most patient and tolerant guy around little puppies. I have exhibited prey drive and will need a feline-free home, but love a tortoise friend in my neighborhood! I have been exposed to and met older children that I was curious to learn more about who were calm and respectful around me. I am quite athletic and love to romp around in the yard! Maybe we can do some fun obstacle training? I have a lot of love in my heart and after getting comfortable at this home, I now request pets!
I really can't wait to go to my furever family! I would do best in a calm and mellow environment where I continue to blossom and thrive! A safe space for my retreat will really help me. Calm dogs who can mentor me? Pawfect! I will need my pawrents to advocate for my space around new people, and help to continue to build my confidence. I am currently taking Prozac to help my anxiety (~$5-10 for a months supply, depending on where purchased and market value). Do you think you can be my everything?
My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
