Hello Friends!
I`m Jackson, a beautiful orange and white short-haired guy with adorably long hears and mesmerizing green eyes. One of the staff members says I have eyes like beautiful sea glass. Don`t you think I kind of look like an orange Creamsicle??
I am a sugary sweet, easy-going boy who loves to be brushed and picked up. Also, I like tummy rubs .I`m a purring machine - I purr like a motorboat. I lived very successfully with an energetic, talkative small dog. At the shelter, I have spent time around my cat buddies, Otter and Basil, and we all get along just fine!
If you want a gentle, easy-going boy, that`s me!

One important thing about me is that I am diabetic. I require twice daily insulin injections and must eat special food. Sadly for me, I cannot have any table food but that`s ok, just give me extra snuggles and we`ll call it even.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees are as follows:
Kittens up to six months are $100
Cats seven months to seven years are $75
Senior cats eight years and older are $50
FIV+ and FELV cats up to 7 years $25
FIV+ and FELV+ cats 8 years and up $15
Puppies under the age of six months are $200
Dogs over six months and under eight years are $125
Dogs over eight years of age are $75
All animals come spayed/neutered, are current on vaccinations including rabies, and have been micro-chipped prior to adoption. The application process can take several days, depending on how long it takes us to get in contact with your references, your landlord, and your veterinarian. Once your application has been approved we will call you and let you know, and set up an approximate pick up time and date. This can take several days, so please be patient. If your application is denied, you will not receive a call.

Same as the dog shelter except that during the weekdays instead of opening at 10 we open at 11am.

The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only.

The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
