Hello friends! My name is Jackson, I am a 14 year old, neutered male, medium-haired cat. I was relinquished to MaxFund October 2023 by no fault of my own, and now I am looking for my fur-ever home! I have been patiently waiting for a home, and while the kind people at MaxFund take great care of me, what I really need is a family to call my own.
I’m told I look like an orange Creamsicle, and with my long ears and mesmerizing green eyes—like beautiful sea glass—I certainly turn heads. But looks aren’t everything; it’s my heart that makes me truly special. I’m a gentle, sugary-sweet, easygoing boy who loves to be brushed, picked up, and even have my tummy rubbed. I purr like a motorboat, and if I’m extra happy, I might even drool a little—just my way of showing you how much I love you! One of my favorite things is going on harness walks around the shelter. When I’m out and about, everyone stops to pet me and give me attention. They say I’m just the best boy—and I have to agree! I love spending quality time with my humans, curling up in a warm lap to watch movies, and soaking in all the love I can get. I also love to play, explore, and just enjoy life with my favorite people.
I do have diabetes, which means I need twice-daily insulin shots and a special diet. It’s a small routine, and I promise I’ll make it worth your while with extra snuggles, purrs, and devotion. Sadly for me, I cannot have any table food but that`s ok, just give me extra snuggles and we`ll call it even. Because of this, I’m available as a Short-Term Foster with Intent to Adopt. If you’re interested in learning more about me, please reach out to fostercats@maxfund.org.
I’ve lived happily with a small, talkative dog before, and I get along fine with my fellow feline friends. But here’s the thing—some of my diabetic friends have already found their forever homes, and while I still have one roommate left, I really hope I’m next. I have so much love to give, and I know I’d make the perfect companion for someone out there.
I’ve been waiting a long time. Too long. But I believe my person is out there—someone who will look into my green eyes, hear my deep, happy purrs, and say, “You’re finally home.” Could that someone be you? The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 - 4:30, Closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch.

More about this shelter
The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only.
The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
