My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Macie is the sweetest little dog, very attentive and patient. She’s about 10 years old, and you’d never know it as long as she takes her daily low-dose Carprofen, which she is happy to do if it’s wrapped in a tiny piece of cheese! She’s not a fan of horses and will bark even if she sees them on tv!

Macie and my mom live with us, and when mom passed away recently she stayed with us. Now we’re going to downsize drastically and can’t take her along, as we have a puppy of our own. I was hoping to find someone we knew to take her but no one can.

Macie gets along just fine with every person and pet she meets! She needs a home where she won’t be left alone, as she gets anxious. But even if there’s another dog around she’s happy for a little while. She’s never been aggressive but will stand up for herself when she needs to. She likes frequent walks, or she might make a small mess inside. She’s really a terrific little dog that deserves a family that needs a sweet companion.
