Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Isn't she adorable?? Rihanna is a 1 year old dachshund/beagle mix (our best guess) with other breeds mixed in and weighs about 15 lbs. She is so affectionate and loves to give kisses. Rihanna is very playful and mischievous; she loves to play chase with the other dogs in her foster home when she's not tossing and chewing on toys or snuggling with her foster mom. Her story is sad ... she and her brother were dumped in a trailer park. She was unable to be trapped for 3 weeks; during that period, her brother was killed by a coyote. Because of the trauma, Rihanna has slight separation anxiety. She isn't destructive but doesn't like to have a door separating her from her "people" and wants them to be outside with her. Although she does well with the other dogs in her foster home, Rihanna can be a little bossy with girls so we will want her to be placed with a very playful boy to keep her busy and out of trouble. As she's still young, if not kept occupied, she will carry shoes and gloves and other miscellaneous items all around the house. Luckily, she's not a huge chewer but has been known to destroy a pen or two. Rihanna is crate trained but will definitely need to be sleeping in bed with her new family .... when she's not playing, she wants to be right next to her people. Again, it's all related to the tragedy of being dumped and her brother & best friend being killed while she was a stray.
Rihanna's adoption fee is $225; she is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations as well as heartworm preventative. Applications can be completed at waldosmuttleycrew.org . (Indianapolis area)
