Jack was a required owner-surrender to the shelter along with another Siberian. Reportedly they had escaped their yard and caused the death of a pigeon by jumping on the cage.
Jack can be a little shy, especially around some men – no aggression tough. He seems to quickly warm up to women. We have done a little testing and it seems that it is only some men that he is fearful of as he has responded cautiously well, with curiosity, to some men. We are looking for pattern to this.
Jack LOVES to play with other dogs and play and play. We have only checked him with Siberians. I love to watch him in the yard as he prances and looks so handsome. Jack is comfortable in the car and enjoys his rides. He sleeps well all night in a crate, once lights are out and place is quiet. He sits, waits (for short times), lies down and shakes your hand on command or for treat. He will sit and wait for his food to be set down when commanded. He loves to be brushed. Jack does pull on leash and is curious about everything…especially those squirrels that run all over the place. But stops his diversion and continues the walk when told to. So some leash training would be good. Jack would probably do best in a home with another dog. He really wants your attention and love.
He is VERY new to us so we are still evaluating him.
