My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a real funky cat? Pumpkin Patch is such a kooky, nebby girl. She loves many things - Churu, climbing, and being pet are at the top of the list! She's often found on the very top shelf, and she would love to go to a home with a tall cat tree or somewhere for her to jump and climb around. She will always come down for pets and Churu though! She really loves her head and ears being rubbed, and will give you headbutts and rub her face on your face while you give her scratchies.

She is still a bit on the shy side, so she will need a patient adopter who will start her in a small room and let her get accustomed slowly. She has a foster sister, Gosling, who she would love to be adopted with, or go to a home with another cat who can play with her and show her the ropes. She hasn't met a dog but may do okay with someone calm as there is a proper introduction. Pumpkin Patch would do best in an adult-only home, or one with older, gentle, and cat-savvy kiddos. She will gently nip when she is really excited, so she would probably be best in a home without small children.

Pumpkin Patch is almost 1.5 years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Apply for this little character who will make you laugh everyday!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
