My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Valley Girl. This little girl is the sweetest. Initially found as a stray, Valley was facing euthanasia as she was so scared in the shelter environment. You ought to see her run and play with the other dogs now!

Valley may be shy initially but once you've earned her trust, she's a joyful, happy, funny, silly, sweet affectionate pup. Potential adopters will need to come and spend time with her on multiple occasions, but it will be so worth it. All it takes is a little patience to reap her as your incredible reward.

Valley loves other dogs and is good with cats. She does need a fenced-in yard as although she loves to explore on quiet wooded trails, she thrives in a well-known, stable environment.

Valley is approximately 4 yrs. old and 35 lbs. She's the perfect sized pooch!

More about this rescue

Almost Home Dog Rescue NC is a small foster-based rescue group in Western Carolina. After volunteering for years in a local county animal shelter, we could not turn away from the dogs that needed our help the most. We have created a home environment with comfy cabins for the pooches in our fun red barn and provide loads of fun, enrichment and training for the pups in our care. Our goal is to enrich the lives of both the dogs and their adopters alike! Want to learn more or interested in volunteering? Contact us! Interested in supporting our mission?
