My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tate! He is a beautiful Black Lab Mix who just wants all the love! He is extremely friendly and loves people and kids. He loves walks and having a toy to play with on his down time. He is dog selective so a meet and greet is required with your current dog(s).

He does tend to display signs of separation anxiety, so someone who is home more often is needed. He does do well in a crate for shorter periods of time such as running the occasional errand. Come and see if Tate would fit your family!

You can meet Tate at our main ranch location Wednesday-Sunday from 11am-3pm or email dogswmr@gmail.com

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
