Oh sweet Reggie, Reginald man. Was there ever a more regal dog with a heart of gold? Reggie, a 6 year old American Bulldog mix, is our longest resident and has been in the shelter's care for more than 300 days. During that time he has earned the love and adoration of all of our volunteers and staff. At the shelter he is mellow in his kennel and enjoys playing in the kiddie pool but in foster is where he really shines.
Reggie has spent time in two different foster homes and has played appropriately with other large breed dogs. He has a rough and tumble playstyle and would enjoy a wrestling buddy in his home! In his current foster home, he lives with older kids (10+) and does really well although he can get a little rough during playtime so kids in the home should have some dog experience. He is fully house trained and will settle just fine in a confined space or crate when he needs to be alone at home. He's quiet and LOVES car rides! On walks, Reggie pulls initially but eventually settles into a nice loose leash walk and we know with a little bit of training he could be even better on leash.
He is a little too interested in cats and while he has never hurt a cat, he would probably be best in a home without feline friends.
