My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kaia is a stunning little 6 month old female who came to our rescue after she was found as a stray in the Orlando area. (along with her sibling Tala). She is a petite little nugget and although she looks bigger in her photos, she is now around 30lbs.

Her personality is shy but playful, she is unsure of a lot of things she has not been exposed to and she takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. When she initially meets strangers, she will bark a bit and most likely back away until she feels comfortable enough to come up.... then it's on. Belly rubs, kisses and toy are coming your way!
A perfect family for Kaia would be one with another friendly and confident dog as that is what seems to be her comfort zone and she will follow another dog's lead. This lovely pup needs a patient and understand person, who will not "baby" her somewhat fearful behavior, but instead, will have the knowledge and skills on how to help her overcome her fears. She is crate trained and housebroken.
She is currently pending spay surgery which is already scheduled in Ormond Beach and she is available on foster to adopt basis only meaning she needs to stay within a reasonable distance of her veterinarian.
Her adoption fee is $250.

In order to meet Kaia you must submit a foster to adopt application via www.dbgsdrescue.org and pass a home visit.
