Hello, my name is Morrison (aka Morri). I’m a sweet, shy little tri-colored male Chihuahua mix — I weigh 5 pounds (born July 8, 2023). I will be 14 weeks old on Oct. 17th. Like a lot of other dogs like me that come into rescue, I lived with many dogs and didn’t have enough contact with people. I am very shy and it takes me a little time to understand that you are going to be kind and gentle to me so I need you to be patient and that will happen. I had never been outside and had only went potty on pee pads – my foster has been introducing me to the grassy yard and I’m starting to get the hang of it. I will get better as time goes on as long as I’m taken out on a regular routine. I have been practicing on a leash/harness and doing well but will need you to continue to help me get used to that. Someday when I’m older and fully vaccinated we can go for a walk around the neighborhood. I have been sleeping all night quietly in my crate -- as soon as I wake my foster mom takes me outside to potty and I go right away. My foster mom also crates me (with a chew toy) if she’s busy and can’t keep an eye on me or if she needs to leave the house for a little while. I haven’t been in a car much and I get a little nervous (I get a little drooly and may throw up) – my foster mom puts a towel in the crate with me so she can dry me off when we get where we are going. Hopefully I will get used to riding and it will get better for me. I like to sit back and watch the other dogs in my foster home– I always seem to have a toy or something they want.
I’m up to date on my vaccines for my age – I need one more round on Oct. 31st and then they will be complete. I’m neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my flea and heartworm prevention. If you have the kind of home I’m looking for and time and patience to teach all the things I need help learning, contact my friends at SBRET.COM and get your application approved. My adoption fee is $175.
Happy Fall!
Love,
Morrison
