For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Hi my name is Whiskey, I'm a 1 year old female Rotti mix. I am spayed and fully vaccinated. I currently live on an acreage and have spent most of my time outdoors. I sleep in my large crate in the heated garage and never complain about it. Due to all the cats in the house my foster mom says I need to be outside. I do get to watch the cats when they come out and sit in the catio. Sometimes I bark at the cats but I have been around some farm cats and never went after them.
I love to play with my friend Foxy who is a border collie mix but she has WAAAAYYYY more energy than I do. I love to sit and snuggle or play fetch but I will only play for about 5 throws.
I'm off leash at the acreage when my foster family is outside with me. My recall is fairly good and I know how to sit, come, leave it (sometimes). I have spent time around older children (8+) I sometimes need to be reminded not to jump up. So far I like pretty much like everybody that I've met and I'm happy to have attention and lots of pets.
Am I who you have been looking for? If you'd like to meet me please fill out the adoption application .

All adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 72 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application.
Canine Adoption Fees:
$450 for puppies under 1 year of age
$375 for dogs over 1 year & under 7 years
$300 for dogs 7 years and older
Feline Adoption Fees:
$250 for kittens and cats up to 12 months old
$200 for cats between 1-6 years old
$150 for cats 6 years old and older
Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.
