Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I’m Crick, a 2 year old male Skinny guinea pig, who was surrendered with my brother, Watson, to a local animal shelter. We are an adorable and funny pair who love to eat. We would love for you to pay attention to us 24 hours/7 days a week if you can. If you are interested in being my forever family, please go to the ADOPTION tab on our website www.ogpr.org and complete the REQUIRED 4 steps.
We ask for a minimum donation of $150 per guinea pig made to the rescue. One free wellness check at our specified vet is included with each adopted guinea pig. Since Skinny pigs are very special to us and need different care from the hairy piggies, we ask that you read the following educational material on their care from our friends at Kavee (https://kavee.com/blogs/the-piggy-blog/hairless-guinea-pigs) and then answer a short quiz (https://www.classmarker.com/online-test/start/?quiz=m9t6620198aa4a12) so we know you have all the information about them that we require before you adopt one. We do ask for a higher donation for these special animals so please be aware that they are expensive to adopt and for their upkeep. Also, having a pet friendly heating pad in the cage is a must.

The Oakhurst Guinea Pig Rescue is based out of Decatur, Georgia. We are a foster based rescue so we DO NOT have a brick and mortar building. All of our guinea pigs live in foster homes and once your application is accepted, we will schedule a meet and greet appointment for you to meet and adopt a pair of guinea pigs or a single guinea pig ONLY if you have a single guinea pig that needs a buddy. GUINEA PIGS SHOULD NOT LIVE ALONE BUT IN PAIRS OR MORE.
