My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for insight into your future, consult the Tarot!! At a little over a year and half old, Tarot is very much still a puppy and would love to find an active home and a family who will help him grow up to be his very best self!

Tarot was originally found as a stray and his finder said he was friendly and well- behaved. He then spent a couple of months in a foster home where he did great with other resident dogs, liked to sleep near his foster people at night, and was housebroken. Tarot did well when left home alone for a few hours at a time and his foster said that he loves all toys, but especially balls! They described him as friendly, energetic and a very nice boy.

Here’s what Tarot’s friends at the shelter have said about him:

“Tarot is a friendly, excited, BIG puppy. He was very excited when I approached his kennel, but despite being excited and strong, he was a good walker. I took him around the lake and into the play yard. He’s a big, handsome puppy who just needs to burn off energy and learn some manners, but he’s got a lot of potential. Very people-oriented and friendly.”

“Today I offered Tarot a stuffed toy for his walk, which he carried all the way to a play yard. Once in the play yard he enjoyed exploring and playing fetch. If he had a choice to retrieve a ball or his new stuffy, he chose his stuffy! He also enjoyed a game of tug-of-war with his new toy. Tarot is very sweet and playful. He has lots of youngster energy and would be a fun dog for a family who is willing to work on some basic training and involving him in an active lifestyle. Love this guy!”

“I recently discovered Tarot and what a fun boy he is! He loves to play fetch and is getting quite good about retrieving the ball and dropping it at your feet. Tarot is very sweet and has a soft mouth. (takes treats gently). Overall, Tarot is a sweet boy with lots of fun energy. He would thrive with an active family who would be willing to work on his leash skills and some basic commands.”

Tarot has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup though he can be a rowdy boy who may be a bit much for some dogs. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Tarot today!
