My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duke, a whip-smart and charming canine who is currently enrolled in obedience school, where he's showcasing his intelligence and meeting new people. With his good looks and an impressive knack for picking up new skills, he is ready to find a family that can appreciate his intellect and provide him with the guidance he needs. Duke will thrive in an environment where boundaries are set, and expectations are clear. He's a quick study and an ideal candidate for advanced obedience classes, where he can continue to bond with his future owners. He's a bit of a ladies' man and prefers to mingle with the female pups and is quite the discerning gentleman! If you're looking for a devoted companion who will keep you on your toes, welcome this four-legged scholar into your heart and home!

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
