Here's what the humans have to say about me:
9/14/23: PUNKIN was part of a litter of 3 week old pups brought in by ACO to our municipal kill shelter when she had been found the following day. They were all sick, had upper respiratory infections, worms and were dehydrated. She needed a medical rescue asap and would only worsen if she stayed in the shelter which is over capacity. She was pulled on Sept. 14, cleaned up, has been dewormed twice and eating good nutritious puppy softened food. (Est. D.O.B. 8/24/23
Since 9/14, PUNKIN continues to grow, her fur is thickening and becoming very healthy, she is learning pee pad training and is growing, exploring, playing and having fun. It's a joy watching her personality is come through (stubborn is one word that comes to mind!). She has begun training with 'come' and 'stay', has learned the routines and daily schedule and although she shares my office with me and a few other small and medium dogs, she remains separated from contact with all dogs until she completes her 1st two rounds of vaccinations. She is not segregated or kept by herself at any time. There is always at least 1-2 small dogs in the room, and dim lighting and music/tv on softly at night.
PUNKIN's VACCINATION SCHEDULE: She received her first vaccination (distemper and parvovirusis) on Oct. 15, 2023.
Her second round (DHPP, Influenza, Lepto, Bordotella, Lyme Disease) will be scheduled the week of Oct. 29th. **PUNKIN will be available for adoption after her 2nd vaccinations.**
Her third round (DHPP, Rabies, Influenza, Lyme Disease, Lepto, Bordotella) will be due the week of Nov.19th.
At 12-14 months old: DHPP, Rabies, Coronavirus, Lepto, Bordotella, Lyme Disease) will be due.
SPAYING IS MANDATORY and must be done at 5-7 months old, which would be January - March 2024).
