Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Once upon a time, in a land that was here, a darling kitten was born and named Briar Rose. She was adopted as a baby and thought she’d lived happily ever after. But, like many fairytales, tragedy struck our princess. After 6 years of love, a maleficent force stole her father and she returned to us, her original rescue.
Briar Rose feels like she is lost in sleep while searches for her new forever family. She feels cursed like Sleeping Beauty and waiting for her family to find her in the thicket of thorns she feels surrounded by.
She will need an adopter that will give her some time and patience to blossom into the beautiful Princess Aurora that she can be. But for now, like many of us coming out of a deep fog, she is not sure who to trust and looking for consistent love and security to break down her thorny walls. She has responded well to a short term dose of anti-anxiety medication. When she finds that trust with someone she is chatty, affectionate, and inquisitive. Briar Rose is finally learning again what it is like to be a cat.
She would be great for a person living alone and looking for a cat who wants to be their one and only princess.
Briar Rose is 6 years old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.
