Introducing Mona, the beautiful tan Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold. This 12-pound bundle of love was found abandoned on the streets of Modesto in September 2023, but thanks to Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows, she's now on the path to a brighter future. Mona is not just another pup; she's a survivor. She's already current on vaccinations and microchipped, and while she may be a bit shy around new people, she's making daily strides in her journey to trust and love again. Keep an eye out for when she's fully ready to meet you, because Mona promises to be an awesome companion, eager to share her affection and gratitude with her forever family.

Our dogs are at our adoption events held twice a month, weather permitting. Please visit website or Facebook for details on dates.

Additional adoption info

Adoption applications are required; we do home checks. We request that if you are interested to adopt, please complete an application and return vis email or bring to adoption event. We hold monthly adoption events since all of our dogs are in foster homes. We don’t have a location or building.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs are in foster care; however, we do have adoption events and post the information on our web page and on Facebook.

Our dogs come to events at Petsmart stores. We are located in front of the store, look for adoption trailer and play yard. This will ensure your opportunities to meet the available dogs.
