Introducing Blackie, the resilient chihuahua mix with a heart of gold! This silky black, male pup is a true survivor who was abandoned and found on the streets of Modesto in September 2023. Weighing in at 12 pounds, Blackie is now safe and sound, thanks to Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows.

Blackie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped, ensuring his safety. Although he may be a bit wary of new people, he's making daily strides in overcoming his shyness and learning to trust. With a bright future ahead, this 12-pound bundle of love is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is looking forward to the day when he's ready to meet his forever family. Prepare to be charmed by Blackie's incredible journey and his potential to become an awesome addition to your home.

Our dogs are at our adoption events held twice a month, weather permitting. Please visit website or Facebook for details on dates.

Additional adoption info

Adoption applications are required; we do home checks. We request that if you are interested to adopt, please complete an application and return vis email or bring to adoption event. We hold monthly adoption events since all of our dogs are in foster homes. We don’t have a location or building.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs are in foster care; however, we do have adoption events and post the information on our web page and on Facebook.

Our dogs come to events at Petsmart stores. We are located in front of the store, look for adoption trailer and play yard. This will ensure your opportunities to meet the available dogs.
