Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zeus was brought to BCHS on August 6th, 2021, as an owner surrender. Zeus resource guards which means he is very protective over his items. The staff could tell when he arrived that he was not properly trained and was not socialized with other dogs or people. He also has what we call "kennel stress" so we recommend meeting him in the side runs instead of inside. Zeus is the sweetest boy outside of his kennel! He loves going on walks and has pretty good leash manners although every now and then he will see something he wants to investigate and will pull. He knows basic commands and is treat motivated so he should be pretty easy to train. Zeus is very loving to the girls here at BCHS and they have learned that he doesn't like his back end touched very much. He keeps his kennel very clean and loves curling up on a soft bed with his favorite Nylabone wishbone toy. Zeus's ideal home would be with someone who he could be their one and only, as he's not good with children. He is dog selective and only seems to tolerate females that are smaller than him so any meet and greet would have to be done very slowly.
If you think Zeus would be a great addition to your household, please apply or call for more information.

We try to have a thorough process that ensures animals are placed in loving homes that are capable of caring for the animal. We have an application that requires references and we interview both the references and the applicants, before we place a pet.
