My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joker has had a rough start at things. He arrived at BCHS on June 28th, 2022, after being found abandoned at a motel with his sister who has already been adopted.
Joker made it clear when he first arrived that he had never been on a leash and didn't even know what affection was. He has since made some improvements with the girls here at BCHS but is still shy and independent and will come to you on his terms.
Joker has what is known as "kennel stress" meaning he acts much differently inside the kennel than outside.
Joker loves going on walks but is a very strong boy and pulls on a lead so he will need training to correct this. He loves stuffy toys although they don't last very long as he loves to rip them up. He wants to play so bad but for some reason runs away from you once he initiates it.
Joker is dog selective and would do better with a calmer female dog but would have to be introduced slowly.
Jokers ideal home would be with a family that has experience with Pittbulls and shelter dogs.
If you think Joker would be a great addition to your household, please apply or call for more information.

Additional adoption info

We try to have a thorough process that ensures animals are placed in loving homes that are capable of caring for the animal. We have an application that requires references and we interview both the references and the applicants, before we place a pet.
