My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you want a companion that isn't overly affectionate then look no farther. Charlie will appreciate everything you do for him such as walking him and giving him the occasional treats. He is not a in your face kind of boy.
Charlie will keep you active with a routine exercise plan, his favorite thing to do at the shelter is to walk the BCHS trail. He is a strong boy though so he needs someone that can handle him on a lead. He also loves going for car rides, but it's recommended the windows stay mostly closed or he gets a doggie seatbelt. Going to Shawnee and hanging out in the water is another thing that he enjoys.
We often say he would make the perfect "shop dog" because he would just love to sit in the garage with you while you tinker with your hobbies.
Charlie needs to be in a home with no children as he seems to get overwhelmed by any kind of rowdiness. He also needs to be the only pet in the home.
If you think Charlie would be a great addition to your household, please apply or call for more information.

Additional adoption info

We try to have a thorough process that ensures animals are placed in loving homes that are capable of caring for the animal. We have an application that requires references and we interview both the references and the applicants, before we place a pet.
