Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Malcolm is our longest available resident at BCHS. He came in as a stray on October 30th 2018. He does not show well in the kennel due to "kennel stress". Because of that we recommend meeting him in the side run instead. Malcolm requires a special home. He is a sweet boy but needs to meet new people on his own terms. Malcolm needs a person who is willing to come into the shelter multiple times to get to know him first. Malcolm also does not like men at all. This may seem like a lot, but it is necessary. If someone is willing to do this, we can assure you of a few things...Malcolm will keep you active, as he loves the outdoors. You will hear endless happy squeaks from squeaky toys, as he loves his toys (even if he does end up destroying them). If you are a fan of snow, he will be right beside you waiting for you to throw a snowball at him to catch, as he loves the snow as well. He also knows basic commands and loves going for car rides. Malcolm has a lot of love to give someone if they are patient with him. Staff here has grown to love this boy, and we want him to find his forever home with the right person.
Malcolms ideal home is with a single female, while also being the only pet. We know this boy's perfect mom is out there somewhere we just need to find her.
If you think Malcolm would be a great addition to your household, please apply or call for more information.

We try to have a thorough process that ensures animals are placed in loving homes that are capable of caring for the animal. We have an application that requires references and we interview both the references and the applicants, before we place a pet.
