My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing the beautiful Starlene, a boxer mix weighing around 50 lbs.

Starlene's story begins when she was picked up as a stray with her one-day-old puppies. Despite her previous owner wanting only her and not the puppies, the shelter, faced with the option to euthanize the puppies, reached out to a rescue. The rescue, instead of euthanizing, took in both Starlene and her puppies.

If you can offer a temporary foster or a permanent adoption for Starlene and be her companion until she finds her forever-loving family, she will be forever grateful. Despite her past neglect, Starlene is dog-friendly, very sociable, and loves people. This resilient cutie deserves a better life, and with your help, she can embark on a journey towards happiness and security.

Since most of our dogs are fostered, we take them to the potential adopter's home or convenient location.

For the animals located in PA many of the meet and greets are done at the kennel.

More about this rescue

Find abandoned dogs a forever loving home, one person or family, one dog, and one home at a time.

We are a foster-based all-volunteer rescue. We rescue dogs from high kill shelters and find them their new forever homes.

All our dogs are spayed or neutered except for puppies under nine months old, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm-negative or treated for heartworm infection, and microchipped.

We believe every dog, cat, and critter has a purpose and deserves life, to be treated humanely, to feel love, to know compassion, and be happy, and most of all, to be family. After all, they bring all those qualities to people. We learn much from them as they displayed every time such unconditional love and selflessness qualities, which we reinforce with security and independence to express their true self as a loyal companion and forever friend.
