My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I have had sweet Rufus since May. He just turned 1yr in September. His previous owners were not equipped to care for him and going to surrender until I offered to foster. Since taking him in, I've put him through Basic Training with Heavenly Paws Training Program, had him neutered, and all of his shots are up to date. He does need more intermediate training with patience and experienced people. I have two kids and two cats. He is great with the kids but would be better suited with more active children. He doesn't understand the cats, but is gentle with them. We take him for walks, provide him puzzles, socialized play, and train with him, and we just don't have enough time in our day for his needs to be fully met. He would benefit so much more from a family with another dog, active lifestyles, farm culture, or a family that has more outdoor time for him. I love him, and I am very attached to him, but I want to give him the best possible shot at life and family he really truly deserves.
