My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mittens, a charming cat with a gentle spirit. His mellow demeanor is complemented by a sweet and tender personality that melts hearts. Despite his shy nature, Mittens has a unique way of connecting with those around him. He cherishes the moments when he's petted, his soft purrs echoing the warmth he feels. His shyness is not a barrier but a testament to his gentle soul. Mittens deserves a loving home where his sweet, gentle nature can be appreciated. His intelligence and mellow demeanor make him a perfect companion. He's ready to bring joy, comfort, and a dash of feline wisdom into his future family's life. Adopt Mittens and discover the unique bond that only a pet like him can offer. Mittens is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He is available for a virtual or in-person meet and greet after an adoption application has been submitted.

More about this shelter

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue
