My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lilly, a mellow and shy cat. She was discovered living under a house, alongside her mother and siblings, living a life of quiet seclusion. Lilly prefers quiet corners and soft whispers, making her the perfect companion for those who appreciate the quieter side of life. Despite her shyness, Lilly has a heart full of love to give. Her mellow nature makes her an ideal fit for a tranquil home. Lilly's past has shaped her into a cat who appreciates the simple comforts of a safe space. Lilly is FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped, spayed and is available for an in person or virtual meet and greet upon submittal of an adoption application.

More about this shelter

Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue, operating the Lucedale Animal Shelter in Lucedale, MS. We travel up to the north monthly with all of our adopted pets.
Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
