My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eddy was picked up as a fearful stray and transferred to a foster home with AFRP to start rehabilitation. His contact with humans was likely limited until his arrival to AFRP.

Eddy has made good progress in his foster home and ready to start reviewing applications for his permanent home. He will need someone who can commit to continuing his training and will be very patient with him. Although he has made good progress and is less fearful, he still tends to be avoidant of people in many situations. He will likely take time to adjust to his new home.

Eddy is a gentle and sweet-natured dog who gets along very well with other dogs and cats. He would do best in a home with another confident, friendly dog to act as a mentor. He is looking for an adult-only home or a home with patient teenagers. Eddy is currently on medication to help deal with anxiety and he may need to stay on it long term.

Eddy is currently in foster care. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been received and approved.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
