Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tank is a very sweet dog. The poor dog was an owner turn in to a county dog pound a few miles outside Columbus, Ohio. When I saw his picture on the Internet I felt so bad for him. In Ohio, when a dog is picked up as a stray, there is a waiting period of a few days before that dog can be put to sleep to give the dogs possible owner a chance to come pick the dog up. However, with dogs that are turned in by their owners, there is no such waiting period. I called the pound and told them I was on my way, and then hopped in my car and drove the 218 miles to the shelter, picked up Tank, and then drove 218 miles back home. I’m only including the details of my journey and Tank’s rescue in the hope that when I say that the effort it took to rescue this loving, intelligent, and affectionate dog was completely and totally worth it. Tank has a wonderful disposition, is always interested in what you’re doing, enjoys playing with balls and rope toys, and carries with him an air of bright and happy optimism that is simply remarkable when you consider the stress that he has undergone in the past 48 hours. Now Tank needs to find his forever home. Could you be the one to finally give Tank the loving and stable home he so richly deserves? If you are, I promise Tank will repay you tenfold in love and affection.
